Loneliness / Solitude

Surging thoughts

Crash on the stony shores

Of my desolate heart

My bones are fire made

The veins --

Of molten rock

My stormy flesh

Howls and roars

And tears solitude

Into pieces

Then

Thy light of Love

That dwells everywhere

From grains of dust

To the dots of star

Shines and holds my hand

My parched soul

Drinks Thy chalice of Grace

With tears

I cup the Bird of Solitude

To feel Its downs of Peace

  1. there are things in life we can not carry ourselves..
and it is only in realizing it...and our dependence on a power beyond ours...that we realize we have been given the strength...

  3. There definitely are those times in life when one's solitude is torn to pieces by thoughts and circumstances. It is good to know that even there Love shines down and holds one's hand.....and brings 'the desolate heart' some peace!
